Women played a significant role in the domestication of dogs, and their close relationships with the animals were key to the process. Wolves are less aggressive and weary of women due to their smaller size and their voice unlike men who hunt them.

Dogs accompanied women while they gathered food and plants.

Women were primarily responsible for rearing and training dogs for guarding, attacking and finding. Women gave dogs names and treated them as family. Researchers from Washington State University analyzed data from 144 traditional societies and found that women were key to domesticating dogs.

The role of women in the domestication of dogs is often understated, but without their close relationships with these animals, it's unlikely that they would have been domesticated. While men were out hunting, women were able to form bonds with these animals that increased the strength of the domestication process.

Une sortie au parc

Il était une fois une sortie au parc. Leur petite chienne trottinait devant elle, encore vaillamment malgré son grand âge, quand c’était arriv��. Les deux sœurs la regardaient avancer maladroitement sur le gravier pendant que tout autour d’elles parvenaient les cris des enfants qui couraient et jouaient gaiement. C’est alors qu’un homme, qu’elles n’avaient pas vu arriver, donna subitement un coup de pied à la petite chienne avant de reprendre sa route comme si de rien n’était. Choquées et indignées, les deux jeunes filles n’eurent pas le temps de réagir qu’il était déjà parti. Elles se précipitèrent alors vers leur vieille amie pour s’assurer qu’elle allait bien. Heureusement, la pauvre bête était davantage secouée que blessée. La plus jeune la prit dans ses bras et la consola en caressant doucement son pelage mais elle-même n’avait pu se retenir de pleurer. Comment pouvait-on s’en prendre ainsi à un pauvre petit animal sans aucune honte, ni scrupule ? Comment était-ce seulement possible de faire du mal à un animal aussi gratuitement, sans l’once d’un remord ? Qu’est-ce qui avait bien pu passer dans la tête de cet homme pour qu’il en vienne à lui donner un coup de pied alors que leur pauvre chienne ne lui avait strictement rien fait ? Les deux sœurs n’arrivaient pas à comprendre. Elles étaient complètement déroutées. Heureusement, il existait encore sur cette terre des gens qui n’étaient pas complètement dépourvus de compassion ni de sensibilité. Comme tous ces enfants qui s’étaient précipités vers elles pour consoler à leur tour la petite chienne, dès lors qu’ils s’étaient assurés que son agresseur était parti. Ainsi, les voyant rassemblés tout autour de leur compagnon, les deux sœurs avaient souri. Peut-être y avait-il finalement encore un peu d’espoir que tout n’était pas perdu pour les animaux et qu’il subsistait chez les hommes encore un peu d’humanité.

16th August: police brutality against a disabled black man.

20th September: police brutality against protesters. It was a peaceful protest for animals' rights. This happened in a sanctuary.

3rd October (today): police brutality against students. It was a peaceful protest against our government.

JUSTICE FOR MARSHALL AND MILLIONS

These dogs were murdered by the police due to their incompetence and failure to investigate a report of the dogs being aggresive. Spoiler alert, they were not. They were killed though in front of the owner they tasered! Some people may say it’s just dogs but you’re wrong, dogs are family, they feel things and are very emotionally intelligent creatures. They were treated harshly due to their breed. A man has lost his best friends and the police need to be held responsible.
